This album was inspired by "The Zone," a curiosity in and of itself. “The Zone” was recorded in either 1997 or 1998 by Matt Reinders on his Tascam 4-track. The musicians, whom I never met -- nor did I know their names, disowned the recording and Matt came to me to create a digital copy. Certainly the sound quality wasn't great, being recorded by an amateur on a 4-track tape recorder, but the songs stuck with me throughout the years.

Summer of 2022, I felt inspired to listen to those old recordings by those nameless musicians and used some of the songs as templates for new material. The original recordings are fairly difficult to decipher which left them open to interpretation. These are my own improvisations and interpretations of the songs and are not trying to be faithful reproductions.

Titles and art were inspired by reading The Dictionary of Symbols.
